The official languages of the Conference are Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish. Simultaneous interpretation between these languages will be provided for all the Plenary Meetings.

The Welcome Reception will be held at the Grand Hall of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Chinese arts and crafts stalls will be arranged at the Reception. Don't forget to pick up a souvenir from these stalls.
14 May 2009 (Thursday)
Farewell Dinner (By Invitation only)
6.00 p.m. ¡V 9.00 p.m.

The Farewell Dinner will be held at the Bauhinia Room of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Guests are welcome to have a pre-dinner cocktail (6:00p.m.¡V7:00 p.m.) and gather for a night of enjoyable conversation. Traditional Chinese performances will elevate your cultural experience during the dinner.


13 May 2009 (Wednesday)

Registration for Social Night on 13 May 2009
Please go to the ¡§Social Programme¡¨ counter, immediately after collecting your identification badge at a registration counter, to get an admission ticket for one of the Social Night functions (Evening Harbour Cruise, or Horse-Racing Night or Seafood Dinner) offered by the Host Government.

As places are limited for each of the 3 Social Night functions, tickets will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.



Evening Harbour Cruise (Admission by ticket)
6.30 p.m. ¡V 9.30 p.m.

This evening cruise promises you not only wonderful experience, but a great time to enjoy a drink and the exciting night view of Hong Kong Victoria Harbour with your friends and colleagues on board. The dance floor with neon light flashing and well-equipped sound system provide an entertaining setting for you and your friends to dance and enjoy live musical performances. The spectacular ¡§A Symphony of Lights¡¨ will be the laser show not to be missed!

Horse-Racing Night (Admission by ticket)
6.15 p.m. ¡V 9.30 p.m.

Horseracing in Hong Kong is the most popular form of sporting entertainment. The Horse Racing Night at the Happy Valley Racecourse will enable delegates to enjoy the exciting and lively side of Hong Kong. Try your luck!
(Owing to the entrance requirement of the Hong Kong Jockey Club, this programme is only available for people aged 18 or above.)

Seafood Dinner (Admission by ticket)
6.30 p.m. ¡V 9.30 p.m.

Experience a night at the Jumbo Kingdom which is the renowned floating restaurant in Hong Kong. Jumbo literally means ¡§gem and treasure¡¨ in Chinese. You will experience an oriental extravaganza of the best of the Chinese seafood cuisine and enjoy an amazing evening. Chinese acrobatic performance will add excitement to the dinner.
